WHAT DOES A PATTERN SET DO FOR ME?

And, how do I print them?

ABOVE is a DESIGN, or LAYOUT. You still have to mark out all these dimensions, and if you try to just print this and use it as a stencil, it will be the wrong size.

Study these print settings, and use same.

 

A. FILE OUTPUT SETUP:
Once you are viewing the pattern page in ACDSee, go to file -print...Print setup...


Set all "margins (inches)" to zero. Set "size" to "default".
Under "Rendering", set "resolution (dpi)" to 300. Click "Save settings" THIS IS IMPORTANT.
Click Ok.

B. PRINTER SETUP:
Go to file - Print...
Make sure your printer is the one selected.

C: PRINTING:
Click print. The ACDSee print window will re-appear. all your previous setting up should remain, and you will see the pattern previewed in the window.
Click OK.

NOTES:
 YOU MAY HAVE TO CHANGE PORTRAIT/LANDSCAPE ORIENTATION TO FIT.
The ACTUAL PRINT SIZE is not important, prints can be slightly off in dimension, as long as ALL prints are done with the same setup. Parts made will all fit right up, as any error will be relative to all parts made.

BELOW, is an Air-Sharp PATTERN. This can be used as a stencil, because it will print out at actual-size. Print this image at 300dpi, no margins, on 8.5 x 11" paper, using ANY printer.
