Ingredients: 1 airsoft "Dragunov", clone OK. 1 Cereal box (for making test parts) 1-2 sq. ft. 3mm / 1/8" ABS plastic (for
making actual parts) 2 ft, of 2" ABS
tubing Determination

This is how the parts stack up,
literally. I made the parts from .120 thick ABS sheet
scrap that I got from www.interstateplastics.com.
My Dragunov has its butt stock re painted, but is
otherwise stock. Do a test printing of the parts, and
check them for any needed resizing in your printer. Make
sure these parts will fit before gluing them all
together. To see how I made these
pieces, check out this page.

I wanted to
put my battery pack up front inside the VSS Vintorez's
silencer can, so the wiring is seen here. Notice that
this gun has been converted to MOSFET firing circuitry,
see this page for information on
this trigger mod.

Small braces were added to
the end wall where it meets the SVD Dragunov's receiver,
because I wanted it solid in this area. Since I'm using
ordinary Bondo autobody filler to enclose this area, the
ends may crack over time if this isn't
done.

I used
Oatey 2 part epoxy plumbing putty to mold the bottom
corners together, because it bonds well with the ABS
plastic in small areas.

I covered
the top ribs with masking tape, and worked the Bondo
into the assembly as best I could, making sure I didn't
obstruct any fit areas inside. This is the forward
handgrip after the Bondo has set. Some simple exterior
filling with more auto filler will have it looking
ship-shape in a few minutes. I looked at various pics of
the VSS Vintorez for reference while making the part.
Most pics are low res that you can find of the VSS, so
you can get by if you want to fudge a detail or
two.

Here's the
only real tough part, the forward grip, all done inside
of a few hours of goofing off. The magwell shields were
bonded in place using Oatey black adhesive for plumbing
ABS pipes. this was also used to assemble the parts
above. Be sure to remove any paint from the SVD
Dragunov's sides before gluing. I painted mine all a
texture black, but an SVD Dragunov comes with woodgrain
stock that looks very good as it is. A.

PORTRAIT/LANDSCAPE ORIENTATION TO FIT. The ACTUAL PRINT SIZE is not important,
prints can be slightly off in dimension, as long as ALL prints
are done with the same setup. Parts made will all fit right
