Welcome to my DoorGunner MiniGun Airsoft Gun page 1.
This will hold any off-the shelf Airsoft M4 or M16.
You can see where the RC car motor will mount to drive the barrels. I'm using a Mabuchi RS-555. What looks like an AC-Delco car starter will become the battery housing. The barrels are just mocked up here, there will be a tighter gap to the body than this.
the grey at all the Joints is Oatey's HD PVC cement. ON ABS, it holds super-stong, and dries FAST. Not approved for plumbing use on ABS, just so ya know, it won't pass code...
The 1-1/2" tube
sticking out the side goes into the mount. The mount is completed, just
have to finish painting it.
The boxmag can be refilled without taking
it off.
See the stub of
the M4's upper sticking out?
The delta ring seats into a taper, and the
rear stub locates the whole inner structure.
ZERO MODS to the M4 are
needed. Just pulled the front sights and grips.
The front (barrel
end) of the gun is pointing left in this pic.
The underside, where the
gutz will go. The barrel drive motor goes in at the upper left, the M16's
pistol grip ends up in the narrower part of the slot in the main body
tube.
Getting the
control yoke together bit by bit. That's a little bar clamp sticking out,
not part of the unit. Note the pintle mount is closer to looking real
now.
I wish this was going faster, but I only work on this when I'm
between steps on customer's guns.
Have you ever painted or glued
something, and then messed it up by handling it too soon?
Having many
projects to turn attention to actually helps.
FULL-SIZE
BluePrints you can print and use for AIRSOFT ONLY
